Does your town have hay bales?

I love hay bales. Rectangle. Repetitive. Uniform. Don't be jealous of my hay bale field. I am sure that you can find one in a small town near you. Or you can stop by Stephie and Brock's store and buy your own hay bale. Maybe you could use it as a coffee table?

The loveliest garden- part one.

When my parents moved into their house, 17 years ago, they had amazing foresight and started gardening. Though the years they put in flower beds, trees bushes and pathways. When I got married 4 years ago, they went through a another major overhaul to prep for the wedding. The end result is the Loveliest Garden in town.

I stopped by the Lovely Garden House this morning, and this is what I saw when I pulled up to the house. I smiled, and a warmth crept into my heart. There is something so rewarding about seeing your Dad, working on something he loves. I think he even loves weeding- although he would never admit it. I'm pretty sure he gets some satisfaction out of pulling those pesky weeds. Thank you for being such an example mom an dad. I hope that my yard will be as lovely as yours someday.

Little Red.

My Ice Stand is Better Than Your Ice Stand

You know its Summer when a Shave Ice stands pops up on every street corner! This particular stand is SO popular! There is always the longest line. I wonder if it is the straw on the roof- it looks so tropical. The red, makes it look kind of like a barn. So my guess is that us small townees like the comfort of the red barn mixed with a little tropical flare.

P.s. My favorite thing about this Shave ice stand is the Segway shop in the back round. Who would think that we would have a Segway shop? Oh Segways... Arrested Development anyone?

Juxtaposition

Lately I have ben obsessed with Juxtaposition.
New/old
lovely/ratty
black/white

I see opposites everywhere I look. And on that note- can I just say that for some reason, it usually makes my heart flutter a little?

Welcome to Little Reds Reflection!

Welcome to Little Reds Reflection. I created this blog not only as a creative outlet, but as a creative experiment. I feel like I have hit a wall artistically, and have created this blog to help pull my out of my creative funk. So the experiment is, to find something that speaks to me every day. To reflect the world as I see it. I hope that you enjoy, and who knows... maybe you will walk away feeling a little inspired to see the beauty in your everyday life too!

I found a little house on a back road today. Can you imagine being the one to handle that saw? It was taller than me! I always wonder about people who's entire estate is full of antiques. At what point does it just become junk? What do you think? Do you like "antiques," or do you just view it as a bunch of old Junk?
